With a voice described as "one of the most beautiful that Britain has produced in a generation" (International Record Review) Elizabeth Watts is also a wonderful communicator who creates an unforgettable rapport with her audience. A graduate of Sheffield University, Elizabeth won the Song Prize at the Cardiff Singer of the World competition in 2007and she is now an international star, universally recognised as a great artist.
After a stunningly successful concert with Sheffield City Opera in 2010, we have invited her to sing with us again in the beautiful acoustic of St John’s Ranmoor. Sheffield City Opera will contribute a programme of opera choruses, and Elizabeth will demonstrate the range of her operatic repertoire – from Mozart to Strauss.
