Fiona is a graduate of the University of York, gaining a BA (Hons) in Music in 2011. Currently based in Sheffield, she performs regularly with Sheffield City Opera as well as the renowned Sheffield Chamber Choir under Robert Webb.
Recently with SCO, she has performed in concert excerpts of roles including the Marchellin (Die Rosenkavalier) and Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte). With the Sheffield Chamber Choir, she is the featured soprano soloist on their most recent CD recording, “Stabat Mater”.

Operatic highlights of the past few years include performing as “Nymph” in the UK premiere and UK touring production of Narcissus & Echo by Anja Djordjevic, and creating the role of Kore in Hera’s List by Eve Harrison at the Tete a Tete opera festival. At University, she directed and took part in a number of operas, most notably taking the role of the Witch in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel.

Fiona began singing lessons in 2002, having studied the piano for many years. At University, she sang with the University Opera Society, the University Chamber Choir and the Yorkshire Bach Choir, taking solo parts in many prestigious concerts ranging from the St Matthew Passion to Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music. Fiona’s previous singing teachers include Yvonne Seymour and Rachel Nicholls, and she has taken part in masterclasses with Richard Jackson, Lynne Dawson and Paul Husdon. She is currently taking lessons with David Watkin-Holmes in Sheffield
